Whether you are here for a weekend or a few days, we offer the option to book in a guided session for 1 or 2 people in our Studio. Complete beginners welcome and most injuries catered for.
Sam founded her Hackney Pilates business in 2013, after training for two years with Body Control Pilates. After initial accreditation as a “Level 3 Mat Teacher” and a “Level 4 Low Back Pain Specialist Instructor”, Sam started training and teaching with Pilates Studio equipment (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrel). In 2019, she completed a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training, keen to bring the benefits of strength training to a female and older audience.
As a now late 40-something, Sam is crucially aware of the importance of staying strong and agile at mid life and for what lays beyond – she trained as a gymnast and dabbled as a Synchronised swimmer and strongly believes age is just a number! She’s keen to share her 15 years of movement training with clients of all abilities.
Sam’s teaching style is friendly and is easy going – she has a sensible and grounded attitude to exercise and movement (recreationally, Sam enjoys running, swimming, cycling, climbing and skiing – she trained as a ski instructor in 2015) and and prides herself in providing relevant, appropriate and targeted training to support a client achieve their goal. If you can spare time, she’ll happily share the why’s and wherefores of her recommendations to you, helping you gain confidence and independence with your own exercise choices and regime.
